On the Autobahn you can drive as fast as you want on more than half of the routes. No speed-limit is a thing of  :viking:-ery.

But if you drive past 130 kmph (or is it 150? do you remember?) and end up in an accident involving slower-travelling vehicles, the fault will most likely be judged to be yours. It's a fab motorway but the traffic jams can sometimes drive you nuts.

Not a lot. Left the Jag at the repair shop for a check before next week's Autobahn adventure. :viking:

Will you be hearing "Fahrgeräusche"? I love those sound-effects.  :green:

Edited for spelling

Some parts of the Autobahn with sound walls around it, or intricate intersections can make that your car creates weird eerie whistling sounds, when at high speed. Areas where that can happen you'll see signs warning you "Achtung Fahrgeräusche". Very weird. But fun. Another dimension of speed.

Oh, right. I think I have seen the signs but tbh I've never heard the effects.

How fast do I need to go? I think there are some before Berlin.

Don't know, and I think it is different for every place that has those warning-signs.

Played in a concert, which was possibly the most... interesting concert in the entire 9 years that I've been in the orchestra. The flute section was a complete shambles, the entire orchestra lost their place and one point, and an audience member had a "funny turn" which looked very much like a heart attack to me.
The audience seemed to enjoy it, though (the concert, not the heart attack).

^A lot more interesting than my day. I just stayed at home and went on the internet and ate cake.

Did the person who had a heart attack get taken away in an ambulance?

Sorry, this is in bad taste, but I pissed myself laughing at your comment in brackets.

I hope the person is ok, but it sounds like a Flying High movie.

The recommended speed is 130 kmph, so it's probably also the speed that will make it likely to be "your fault" if anything happens. We once saw a frontal collision on the Autobahn (in 1990). At least the persons in one of the cars must have been killed instantly, though you couldn't see any people at all in that car from outside after the collision... :-\

Yeah, they did.

That's cool; the comment was meant humorously.

According to the president of the orchestra, the person will be ok.

I didn't think our playing was that bad...
