Went for a ride with the dog and got coffee for me and a doughnut for the dog then let it chase the feral cats
How is your dog adjusting to the loss of his pack buddy?

I think it's lonely but better than before.  I will be adopting my brothers dog when , if he moves it will be good for both of them as his dog lost it's playmate about a year ago

Thanks guys.

I have no trouble dealing with my own pain, BTDT, etc. but the hard part for me is dealing with other peoples' pain.

I can not even conceive of their pain, much less present some way to help them through it. I just go cold, hard and stone-like while I watch all of them wretch in grief.

I do not know what to do.

 :-\

It is not that I feel stronger than average, but this shit gets old and I have seen too much to stay soft and most of my tender parts are scabbed over.

I sunbathed today with the cat.

Cleaned the bathroom, did laundry, feeding my baby all morning off and on, cleaning my waffle maker and played my Nintendo DSi.

Worked on a whitepaper for a conference. Did backups on my desktop computer. Finally washed the Jag.

I try to think of some concete thing that I can do for them that will help, do that thing for them and hope that they understand the care and desire to comfort that goes along with it.  In the South, people used to bring food, so here when a friend lost her mother, I brought some muffins for the family for breakfast and attended the funeral, but then I figured out that the customs are a bit different here.

I have been to the chemist to get meds, paid some bills at the post office and posted a letter, done a load of washing and hung it out, cleaned the cat's litter tray and thrown the recycling rubbish out.

I napped and I got to vacuum finally. I also went to the bank. I also did the dishes and folded clothes from yesterday. I also put away my Christmas sweaters and socks.
