went to the ER early this morning, too fucking early for me infact but since my mom was taking me she had to drop me off before work :P Came home tried to sleep for awile, got up made some coffee and then obviously got online

Went to Goodwill and bought a love seat to replace the one I'd had for 35 years.  It wasn't on it's last legs because the legs literally broke off last year.  The springs were shot and the cushions looked a prize fighter's ear. 

I was astounded when Prince Albert said that if I found another love seat to buy it (he didn't approve of Goodwill purchases when we married, but learned to accept clothes purchases.  I was afraid he'd ramble about bringing fleas, roaches, etc. into the house with furniture.)  Anyway, I found a LazyBoy love seat in great shape (had my eye on it at $59.99, thought about it at $49.99 and bought it at $39.99.  With my senior citizen discount it came to $34.00.  Yea Me!

Did my job, never that little motivated before.
Got meds, got catfood.
Cooked a proper meal, raced to shop to get ingredients for a cake the birthday girl would love tomorrow.
Watched a movie with the girls.

Now having a break. Will be making a cake soon.

Used a needle file to smooth the edges of the eyelets on my boots.  I've only had the boots for a few months and already the eyelets have cut through 2 sets of laces.

How was her birthday?  I know it wasn't perfect since  you couldn't get off work, but I hope it was nice for all and that too many of the I2 guys didn't show up.

Aah, some of the guys here would have livened op the party I guess.
Her best friend had to work during the day, and had to go elsewhere in the evening. And, because of all uncertainties, only her Dad and my parents came. There will be other visits later I think. Diluted birthday pleasure. Her Dad was a good host, they had a nice party. When I came home, we had some bread and soup, and then the guests left.

Both my girls managed to fall victim to the flu in the evening. But, were fit enough to enjoy another visit this morning. Diluted birthday pleasure for her indeed. Her friend just called if it was OK for her to drop by after dinner. She's part of the family here, she is welcome.

What did I do today?
Take care of sick kids. Entertained visitors. Received lots of stuff that isn't mine, but that did get dropped here, for storage I fear.
Did some washing and other housekeeping.
Will deal with the mess later today I think. Have to think where to put everything.
