Picked up my new glasses from the optician, and now everything looks much sharper and more detailed, plus I don't have hundreds of scratches obscuring my vision.

I still remember my first pair of glasses, and how many details I saw for the first time. (I was about 7 at the time.)

got up, dressed, put a load of laundry on.  Now off to weekly b'fast with a friend.

Have some waffles for me!  ;)

Sorry, McDonald's is our weekly hangout.

Unfortunately with the clearer lenses you'll see how much you've aged since your last pair of glasses.  :evillaugh:

I was in a meeting all morning. Got into sensory overload. :GA:

I must say, even though I don't have much of a sensory-overload problem,
certain VOICES are very stressing to me, even in small doses!  :chin:

Normally I can avoid these things by not subjecting myself to situations I know will trigger this but today I had no choice. Today was fucked up.

I hope you feel better soon.  :viking:

Thanks. I am feeling better but still stressed out. I hate being a spazz sometimes.

Worked in my home town. Drove around where I used to live.  Had fish and chips and feed the seagulls, a few times right out of my hand,  in the park I grew up going to

At this point in middle age, I see more in the mirror if I take off my glasses and just stand closer.

It seems as if I may have actually influenced others, beyond the typical strangers who come into the store and "trust"  that they can find the appropriate information they expect as it applies to their unique problem.

Today, I am almost positive that I actually influenced co-workers to do some of my work for  "US."

Apart from daily tribulations and chores, work, for as much as it could be called work today. Explain lots of people why I was outside working in my uniform. Took more time explaining how it could be that some in the black and orange uniform worked today and some didn't than the actual delivery of the hand full of mail I had today.

Made the days in December visual for me, in a schedule. Yes, I do need that promised day off come Saturday!!!! They'd better not deny me that.

Got my youngest through a combination of an unexpected anxiety attack combined with stubbornness. And it went well. Took lots of time, but she did conquer herself.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

OK, as promised elsewhere:

1.) Did a BIG load of   :laundry:   !

2.) De-hoarded, and will do more tonight and tomorrow.

3.) Called two people about financial matters, not my fault they didn't call me back!
