I had physical therapy today and my ankle still hurt from the last time.

Oh well, I got through it.

I'm walking and running miles a day on bad shinsplints. Yeah i'm dumb.  :facepalm2:

Will they ever get better if you keep on doing that?

Lol no. And it'll make them worse actually, but I don't want to get out of shape. :duh:

Are there different exercises you can do that won't make things worse?

I'm a soldier dammit!

I don't wanna have a crippled soldier    Rest and don't push yourself that hard.

Yeah yeah. I'm resting right now actually. But remember. I work hard, and I PLAY hard.  :eyebrows:

 :facepalm2:

I'm warning you though, when I want to I can be as stubborn as hell   :zoinks:

When I want to I can be adorable as hell. I have my own weapons.  :eyelash:

The way you were taught to run as a soldier may be part of your problem and I just read that shin splints can develop into stress fractures if you overdo it.

If you can't think of any alternative exercises to stay in shape other than running, maybe you could use heat on your legs and do a warm-up and some stretching before your run and then do some more stretching and use ice on your legs after to reduce the inflammation.  Maybe Ibuprofen would help reduce the inflammation too.

I know the tricks. Its a matter of time before I have to get it fixed, but its no big deal. Pain is nothing.

I'm glad that you already know the tricks.

I think pain is your body's way of telling you that something is wrong.  I know that there are times that you have to work through the pain, but you don't want to ignore it to the point you actually make yourself worse instead of better.

I hope that goes away in time Callaway. My broken finger hurt for over a year but the chronic pain did eventually go away and you are younger then I was then.

Doing permanent damage to your body is just plain boneheaded Rage.

If shinplints is the front of your shins (dictionary online refused to translate) you'd better take care. Pain may be nothing to you. But this can inflame massively, and then you will be sitting with your legs high for a while. It's the only thing I ever really got told off about, for going on sporting with them hurting and heating up.

Icepacks are a good idea, as well as getting shoes that dampen the hard contact with the ground during running.

Yep, he should read more Asterix and Obelix.

Then he would know that even the potion that makes the gauls invincible does not protect them from getting injured.

And at the moment, reading Asterix and Obelix would be a very good alternative to running.
Still training abs, while reading.
