For me (not just today - it has taken about two weeks) I finished my product process plan for work. It's kind of difficult to come up with anything new or intriguing, because they have buttloads of crap laid out in detail in our SOP site, but I am expected to create my own plan for getting things done. Obviously, keeping my proposal within a set of possibilities I can manage is part of the challenge, since I will be judged in the future, not only in my adhering fairly closely to SOP, but how well I succeeded in implementing my own "signature plan" and how well it actually works.

My proposal is intended to be a living document of my employment in this middle supervisory level, however, and it is expected to evolve over time.

Went to the local earth day and passed of literature

Watched lizards duel for dominance on my back porch.

Same species?

Either way, it sounds fascinating and had I been there I would have enjoyed to see this

Green and brown anoles. They're everywhere here. The brown one lost the lower half of his left forelimb a few days ago, in a fight with another one that I didn't see, but that didn't stop him from biting the head of the green one that went after him today. He was protecting his territory and his woman, who was watching from the sidelines.

The green one ran before getting seriously injured. I read that the brown species are seriously endangering the green ones because they're more aggressive.

Cool. I've been writing new tool proposals at work the past couple weeks. It's frustrating because I've finished two and assisted with two more and I'm all ready to start developing, but now I have to wait for the managers to meet and confer and dither and decide whether they actually have priority.

Kept an eye on my son and the girl that lives 2 houses down.

Lately they have become fasinated with each other and "Casanova" here murdered over half of my variegated iris's for a bouquet.

He's only 10 for pete's sake.  :bangbang:

I'm too old for this, and school isn't even out yet.  At this rate I'll be on meds by Sept.

Participated in family meeting with funeral director.

Sorry, hadn't heard.

Hope it was an expected death, not a surprise.

Thanks, DirtDawg. No, we weren't taken entirely by surprise. My mother-in-law had pre-existing health problems, but we all (including herself) held out hope, right up till the last, that she might rally and come back to full strength. She had the heart of a lion, and we'll miss her.

Today I bought my younger son a new shirt and a nice pair of trousers to wear on the day of the funeral.

Hey, sometimes, questions answered, even harshly, can bring about beneficial change.
Still, I know it feels raw, even when expected. Hope the family heals well.

I always find a natural phenomenon to identify with the passing of a loved one and then every time I experience or view that particular glory of nature, I have pleasant thoughts of the one lost.

This boy who rides the bus with my daughter has a crush on her.  He's 15 and she's 13 and I am so not ready for this.  He made a copy of a CD for her.

Is the little girl two houses down the same age as your little iris murdering Casanova?

That started with my 10-year old daughter this school year and is likely to only get worse. Fortunately, she was a bit demanding and would complain when he didn't pay 100% attention to her at recess. If she keeps that up, they won't stick around.

Suicide would waste me

She hasn't turned 10 yet, but they're in the same grade. I still have the picture of them together before the first day of school, back then he thought she was obnoxious.
