took my heap of a car for its MOT, which it failed on only two things, one of which i've already had fixed, for nothing, and the other which will cost me about £30!  :woohoo:

and then i made my pooter run at 20Mb rather than the pathetic 6Mb, by swapping the USB cable for an ethernet cable i didn't even know i had.  :woohoo:

all in all, i'm rather pleased with myself today.  :belly:

Woke up, set the alarm clock for another 40 minutes, woke up again, lifted Waggy onto the bed, woke up again because the electrician had arrived, got dressed, booted up the computer and hated myself for my habit of late nights.

Converted a Windows XP SP3 install into Windows Media Centre Edition 2005.

Not bad having a Windows MCE that is Volume Licence that flags as Genuine and doesn't need any activation hacks  :green:

That's why you have test machines and try every combination of shit to make it break. Then you know what works and what doesn't.

Most of the time its shitty 3rd partys apps or crap drivers that bring windows down. So be careful and choosy about what you install and its all good.
