Seems like the old "Horse"  model I used to have, the stake was made of cast iron. It could easily break, I always thought. Fortunately there were no rocks in the soil where I was using it.

Can you temper the steel, afterwards?

I have did Blacksmithing at a local museum with my brother when I was younger and would like to get back into it.  I have everything but a forge right now I use a tourch to heat things up.  Tempering shouldn't be a problem might not bother with the firston though it's getting late in the planting season

Paper work and talked at length with a worried home owner who desperately wants to go green with a project at he home but knows nothing on how to.  I get to meet her tomorrow

knitted, marked, went to the shop (the local one, so no walk at all :( ); ate too much; marked; got on here.
