Bought some hosting space.

So what do you need from people in order to run this place? Donations? Lack of bullshit?

Some interesting posts to keep this place alive. :)

Thanks for asking, though. I don't see a whole lot changing--I'll simply host the board and do the web monkeying, and hope I can do it half as well as Dunc.

Fuck all.  As usual.

I should really start looking for a college.  Haven't got the energy though.

We went to pick up my husband from the airport yesterday.

We went out to breakfast this morning, bought a few things from the store, then took our daughter to the dollar store to buy a prize for behaving appropriately during breakfast and shopping.

I could return to my old one but I'll probably end up in the same way I ended last year.

I mean ffs there was a gang fight with a guy threatening another one with a gun in the first month  :o

At least there are no metal detectors  ::)

Plus the teachers and everyone hates me.

would you consider moving away from home and going to a college somewhere else?

that is if you're talking about HE rather than FE - not sure which you mean.

Sixth form college I meant.

Moving away - highly unlikely.

I just need to find a good college that does the subjects I want, with decent enough teachers and people who I can relate to.

The college itself wasn't that bad.  The level was a bit low (especially in my Film Studies class gods  ::)) but the people were terrible.  I mean, I am friendly enough so I had a few people to talk to in some classes, but I spent all breaks alone.  Took the bus around the area each lunch time or walked to Portobello Market :P

However, I did make friends with a the owner of a second-hand bookshop, a clerk in a film shop, a clerk in Urban Outfitters and one of the baristas in Starbucks lol.  He knew my favourite order   How sad.  The things one does for a conversation :P

Kinda miss the walks actually.

At least my days had a pattern to it and I could keep myself busy.  I guess the loneliness got to me in the end.

Stimmed a lot, but drove my son to and from a friend, managed to visit a book sale in between, and watched Nip/Tuck.
