there are certain advantages, however.

or at least, i'm sure i'll be able to think of one, just as soon as i have the lobotomy.

:D

:P

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.   :P

Nasty.

My daughter saw a drunk fall over in the storm earlier, when we were out shopping. We went back to see how he was. He apparently decided it was as good a place to sleep as any, so he didn't get up again. I tried to wake him up but he wouldn't respond so I had to call him an ambulance. He would have died there--it was very cold in the wind.

You're a hero, Odeon.

It would have been easier to just look the other way and many people would have and probably DID.

Not sure how your daughter takes things like that, but the "context" is up to you. Hope she came out of it OK.

My younger, extremely empathic daughter would be fine, but it would totally freak out my son, who has much more severe ToM challenges.

My daughter was a bit freaked out by it, but I told her that we did the right thing and probably saved his life. Looking the other way isn't an option; if you can help, you should.

I hope she remembers it when she's a grown-up.
