Anyone played it?
A necromancer from the nearby necromancer tower just ambushed my dwarves and reanimated all the various corpses and body parts in the refuse pile around the entrance to my fort. Now my dwarves are fighting dog corpses, goblin heads, partial goblin skeletons, bits of reanimated skin and hair from butchered animals, mussel shells, disembodied hands and the mutilated corpses of their fellow dwarves.
Also, Dwarf Fortress has an insanely detailed combat system; everything is modelled from basic material properties like density, shear strength and compressive strength, including living tissues (all of the major ones; skin, nerve, bone, muscle, cartilage, tendon, fat, it's all there, along with every body part from the torso to individual fingers and eyelids), though it breaks down a bit when dealing with certain particularly weird enemies like reanimated hair, which is strangely powerful and managed to shove one of my dwarves' skulls through it's brain.
