If you must say God did this, then enjoy your search for the magnificence of God within the adaptability of life as other things around those parental egg creators alter their offspring in accordance with God's Will.
It must be your God's Will that allowed us to all become creators of life through reproduction.
One example, irrefutable, is found near Chernobyl where the light green frogs have changed to nearly black, due to increased melanin production in offspring to protect them from radiation that harmed the parents.
The parents laid those eggs which changed the life of those offspring for the better.
It's not an either or, most especially NOT if you are willing to "believe" in an all knowing intelligence at the wheel.
