Potatoes with bacon & cheese...& pepper, I need pepper on everything.



I like them best in baked in the oven though (I lightly rub the skins with olive oil & sea salt before I bake them) , I've done them in the microwave and they're just not the same to me.

I like mine best baked in the oven too although I often do bake them in the microwave.

I prefer them with butter, sour cream, salt and pepper.

Put enough cheese and bacon on them and they are good as a main course when you buy big ones

While I like baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes are my favorite.  Can eat them just like that, no additions.

I'm not a huge lover of baked tatties, unless they're done just perfect.
They must have a crispy, but not tough skin, and be the right texture inside.

Tuna is my favourite filling, although butter is OK too.

I had a Siamese cat back in the 60's who would devour uncooked, unwashed potato peelings.  Another cat I had in the 1970's was addicted to alcohol.  She would drink my Dad's Bloody Marys, lick the liniment and perfume off your skin and once ate through plastic bag and aluminum foil to get at the rum soaked fruitcake.

I love raw potatoes, though I skin and wash them before eating.  Put a little salt on them and they're awesome.

Well, I think potatoes are a bit overrated as a food source, personally.. but I wouldn't advice someone to eat a potato raw.

Unripe potatoes eaten raw, not being peeled properly first/the green parts especially not taken away is quite quite iffy and is thought of to contain toxins not healthy in the long run for a human being to be taking in, as far as I know.
