Fair point , can I make another suggestion then?

Get your brother to "extract" the information from this guy before beating him up , if you catch my drift... I mean if he actually didn't do it , it'd be awful to have had him beaten up for something he didn't do right?

Any chance she hid herself from the rain in a shed in the neighbourhood? One that got locked, with out the owner realising she was in there?

I hope it is something like that. But, it sure does look grim.

Really think it's best to tell all to your, (also cat loving/owning), landlord, ZEGH. Fucking him up badly can be done later.. and sneakier.

logically its not a good thing to just launch an attack on him, but the timing of the situation is... too... exact...
squid, i know, and whenever my brother gets back to me (hes in rehab, where he smuggles steroids. hes not planning to behave anytime soon :D), i will explain that to him

Ok fair enough , sorry if I seemed condescending , I just wanted to make sure you had thought of all of this , considering how much your cat means to you I could perfectly understand you jumping to a conclusion due to being upset.  :hug:

You need to confront your neighbor. be calm, cool, collected, but firm with a I_can_flip_at_any_minute_I_dare_you_to_just_set_me_off look ..... but (and I know this is hard) look him in the eye and say that you will find out what happened

I think that I would ask the landlord if he has seen my cat and make him aware of the threat that the crazy neighbor made regarding it.  I think that the landlord has a right to know that he needs to safeguard his own cat, even if he can't get rid of the crazy neighbor right now.

Definitely inform the landlord, and from a legal standpoint, it might not hurt to ask the neighbours if they've seen your cat.  Also, I'd want to do some pretty nasty things to anyone who messed with my dog, but you might regret things if you or your brother end up in prison as a result.
