I made some progress in the garage. :hadron:

I like to keep a working shop area in my garage, especially with the weather changing.
I built some insanely large live music band stuff recently and I am recovered from all that mess brought with it.

I'm not sure if I have actually talked about what the biggest "mess" in my garage is about.

When an old friend died a couple of years ago, I was blessed with a lot of his old stuff.
I had called to invite them over to see our new home. I found out he had died a few months before. I had known him from the music industry for about thirty years and his wife, delightful soul BTW, I had known for about twelve.
She told me she had lots of things to do and just was not ready.

Anyway, this spring she called me and said that he had left instructions that certain things (sound gear) he left were to go to me and would I mind coming to pick them up.

I got there and she has a full room of gear she wants gone. It took two days, but I sold most of it to old contacts at fire sale pricing, moved it away and got her $2200 bucks for the trouble.
She was beside herself in amazement! All that old junk gone and I have MONEY!?!

Well that was not all she wanted gone. My buddy had a fairly massive vinyl LP and CD collection he was in the process of archiving when he passed. He has thirty something banker's boxes of music in another room. She told me I could have any of that I wanted if I would haul it all away. She warned me that it had already been picked through and there really was not much there worth anything. She was wrong!!

Then about three weeks later she called to thank me again and ask for another favor. She had made the decision to sell the house and had found in the basement where all their Christmas, sports, racing decorations were kept, there was another forty cartons of music all bundled up, sealed for archiving. Would I please come and take them away?

So, since the late spring, I have been going through and trying to cull down this massive stack of music. Seventy eight banker's boxes of music cluttering my garage. Not that I am complaining, but I've been busy. Problem is that it is all great music and I can't just get rid of almost ANY of it.
I have managed to redistribute four boxes to other friends, but four boxes is not even a dent in the total!

I have a huge corner of my garage that is not shop ready, still.

Got back from our road trip to Cape Cod.  Off and on rain to start, but the last 2 days of our stay was awesome.  Sunny, pleasant temps.  And just finished unpacking and sorting thru the snail mail and email that accumulated during our sojourn.   8)

Worked on sight until 4:00pm

Right now seeing that the hours are "low" at the store, I've helped a home renovator/handyman with some odd jobs on his properties or properties he is working on flipping and selling.

Did some work, repaid my "emergency balance" then took out another balance, got gas, transferred some money to my bank, did a load of laundry, caught a Darkrai, and when I was making my grillled cheese this morning I tried putting the seasoning on the bread instead of on the cheese... I think I won't do that again, it seems to have insulated the bread from the cheese too much.  But I also used my last slices of bread and cheese.  So that's an issue.

I did my Saturday housework and now everything is clean and stocked for another week. :hadron: I'll probably work in the garage this afternoon. There's some stuff I can do today to make tomorrow's work easier.  :dunno:

Shopped for groceries and flowers with Carla on a "shopping date".  Drank my second mug of lapsang souchong tea and read a good story from someone I follow on Patreon. 8)

I did very little work.  Mostly played pokémon go.  Ordered ingredients for grilled cheese.  The store was out of my kind of peanut butter and I didn't want to try the suggested replacement.  So that's off the table.  Idk,  I might go to bed.

Read that book you started, that should relax you. :)

I've hung out two loads of washing and had a shower. There's still stuff to do.
