What have you done today? (Pt 2)

When still living with a partner, he did the dry cleaning stuff, like vacuuming. I did the wet things. We cooked alternately, and he did the ironing.

I miss having someone cook for me, every other day.

There were times I had a job, and he hadn't, there were times he had a job and I hadn't.

Today, I bummed around a bit. Also did laundry, dishes, and making a meal.

Catered for kids and cats. And had a walk with oldest, including five staircases in our walk.
Girl is practicing for Rome.

Woke, showered, got one kid showered and on her way to school after a candle lit breakfast. Catered cats. Posted a bit. Did some housekeeping. Now on my way to get other kid awake, and hopefully moving.

At 5:30 it is pitch dark. Sometimes candlelight helps enticing kids out of bed. Cozy start of the day.

Laundry, talking, getting other kid to school, and (should not have done that) read some more on the online information my council has on transition to 2015 care program.

It makes me anxious and stressed, because of so many words saying so little, apart from "look at how little we have decided, how little we know, and how good we know to wrap that in fluffy talk that pretends we care".

Spend the last 3 hours assembling a (newly bought) cupboard. Didn't do a lot of good to my already aching joints but the cupboard looks good (there/in the kitchen).

Took the new radiator I installed yesterday in my van out.  I found where they forgot to put washers on one of the bolts and drove it into the plastic cracking it

I have been on a school governor induction course.   I now have a handbook.   

I have now officially entered 'public life' and am bound to live by The Seven Nolan Principles.

I took Ceilidh to therapy first thing this morning, then came home, worked on my assignment for a bit and posted here. Then picked Ceilidh up, came home, swept the toilet and bathroom and brought in a load of washing and folded it. Then we went out to dinner at a fish & chip place called Cicerello's. I had a kids meal which filled me well.

Went to work, came home for lunch, had meltdown, going back to work in a few minutes.

Weekly b'fast with g'friend, trip to Walmart, a wee bit of decluttering, decided the dryer is NOT drying.
