Having taken a stumble in the kitchen, my left knee cap is already  bruising, while my left wrist, elbow and shoulder are letting me know they want they're share of attention.  I've already taken the arthritis med and added a pain pill.  Will probably have a few fancy biscuits to medicate my bruised emotions.

Do you have any arnica balm at home?
I bruise easy, and that balm does make a difference.

My brother uses margarine, the soft rubbing of the bruised spots with a lubricant can help the blood flow away a bit more easy. Could be that arnica balm is doing nothing more than margarine would, but, I'll stick to the arnica.

I feel slightly paranoid about the guy on the ladder outside my window.  :tinfoil:

I can still see him throughb my closed blinds ( they're not the greatest quality ) so I assume he can see me.

You should get some wrestling mats and put them on the floors. That way, if you ever fall again, it won't do so much damage. I hope your emotions recovered quickly.

Gee, I thought you were going to suggest that PA and I start wrestling as a new form of foreplay.

Next time, I'll drop the dirty clothes so I can fall on them instead of the floor.

Maybe you could ask PMSElle what not to wear when not dating a guy on a ladder.

I wonder if it's depression or just frustration.

With me, frustration with things I cannot or are unable to change...can lead to the other.

Is that a subtle reminder to recite the Serenity Prayer?

That was found on a tiny piece of paper my grandmother had with her.
She did manage to make most out of life, despite life itself.

It has made a difference in my life.

(Although I'm not an alcoholic, I attend AA meetings twice a week.  My addictions are food, spending money and hoarding.  When I am doing too well in managing those things, I want to drink.  Sort of an alcoholic in training.  I'm determined not to add something else to the mix.)  I definitely feel a lot less of the martyr, feel more calm and can handle situations with a lot less drama when I use the prayer.

I'm taking pauses to check. Kind of mini-breaks, before I react, thinking of other possible explanations. Works for me. Not when I am really tired though, or late at night. I now hope to be clearheaded enough to just avoid escalations at times like that.
My grandmother had a very sharp and witty tongue. And certainly had a nasty streak on her. I think that that is why she had the paper with her. She was a delightful woman.

I've found that I find it easier to throw things away that I hoarded for too long, since I work as a volunteer at the thrift shop. I'm happy with that unexpected bonus of my work.

The effects of the bug are back.
Yesterday I thought it was as good as gone. But today I was really relieved to see my time at work was up. I walked to the bus stop dizzy and totally drained. Glands are swollen again. Oldest is still like crap too.

I want that virus to leave us. Anyone needing a couple of sick-days?

I'll have you brought to Buckingham Palace, put up in a lovely four-poster bed.  There will be a vase of lovely flowers on the nightstand, a cheery fire in the fireplace and all the peace and quiet you want.  Lady Weeble and I will personally attend to your every need and desire, well, most of them. We will sit, quietly tatting awaiting your summons.
