Much better than I was.
Of late, I've been having a lot of problems with nausea, vomiting, at first streaked with blood at times, sweating bullets, feverish, and generally not feeling good at all.
I've had my doc write up the forms I need to go get my heavy metal levels tested, I asked him to book me tests for zinc, copper and lead, mainly, as well as cadmium and mercury (the solder I use for welding when making guitar parts is a silver/cadmium alloy. Doesn't give off that much in terms of fumes I wouldn't think, with the quantities used, but the toxic concentration of cadmium in the air, max. permissible exposure over 8h is an absolutely fucking miniscule quantity, Cd is way up there in terms of overall nastiness as far as heavy metals go)
A lot of the problems I've been having fit what they call metal fume fever, or 'galvie flu/foundry fever'. I've had no metalwork jobs of late, and since then I've felt better. Wondering if its a coincidence or not....but I want to find out for sure.
