Unsettled because of uncertainties.

PA's ankle is not healing (after 8 months) and the doctor is talking bone graft.  He's going to wait one more month to see what happens and then ask for our/PA's decision.

But it has to be approved by the insurance company (of course it's most likely going to be approved.)  And the recovery time is longer.  I've done a quick peek on the subject and hope it will be with his own bone.  But if it's not healing now, how well will it heal with bone from his body?

And then what?  Total ankle replacement?

I'm awfully good at growing a fantastic crop of worries that are probably unnecessary.

Why can't they try that electrical stimulator first?

Their criterion for the electrical stimulator is 9 months without healing, unless it involves the spine.  Whether that's significant, total, whatever lack of healing, I'm not sure.   Also, since one of the pins broke inside the bone I'm not sure how that affects the whole ball of wax.  However PA is just totally disgusted/discouraged with the whole healing process, not the surgery or the doctor.  We're planning on calling the doctor next week when things settle down around here and ask a few more questions.

I'm thinking about the pain involved in a second ankle surgery and so I was thinking that anything that might work without putting him through all that pain might be worth considering even if it meant waiting another month.  My knee is killing me right now and the surgery I had was nothing compared to the one he will have.  I'm so sorry for him and for you and wish you both the best.

I feel sad and worried for my friend. Play date for today with our girls was cancelled. Her daughter was having monumental physical meltdowns and i know what that's like. I think she's in over her heard right now though. Doing what I can to support her from a distance since I've been there, done that.  :-\

Bit drink
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

How to apologise to Scrap

Exhausted.

Helped PA board the last 2 windows and the patio door
Cleaned out and loaded the car
Fed and left water for the cat
Transferred the parakeet to a smaller cage with ironically more space for food and water containers
Drove to Baton Rouge
Unloaded the car
Went grocery shopping, twice
Bought dinner for the family
