^I feel awful for you upon reading this. Your cat sounds like she has been an awesome companion. And smart too.
Thanks Ren. She truly is amazing. Incredibly intuitive and any time she felt I was in danger, she absolutely refused to leave my side. She's very protective and watchful of me and the kids. I will miss her.

Awful. Been crying since yesterday. I think I'm going to have to put my cat down this week. I've had her for 17 years and she's been through some truly awful things with me. I can't even begin to imagine not having her here but she's taken a sudden turn for the worse. It came out of the blue and those that are closest to me agree that it's not looking good.  :'(

Kidneys?
I think stress from the kids coming and going. She cries outside the bedroom door of whatever child isn't here. At her age, the constant change is really difficult. She has a tumour that showed up 2 years ago but didn't change much and it's suddenly growing again. She scratched off a large scab on her back and it's not healing and the grand finale was she stopped using her litterbox. All in all, not good at all. But she *looks* healthy, runs around, snuggles etc. So it's hard to making the final call when she doesn't have some deathly disease. Sigh.

I will be seeing him tomorrow to talk about it when I take a friend's cat in to be put down. In short, this week is horrific.

Puking for past 24 hours.  Don't know if illness, food poisoning or stress.

So, it appears to be gallstones.  Go figure.  Looking back I have been having these attacks off and on since about 1996.  Anyone else deal with these?

Someone a few houses along has a dog that barks constantly when they're away, and it's torturous to try to do anything outside or to have the window open for some cool air on a hot day when there's this muffled yap-yap-yap, yap-yap-yap going on for hours.

My brother did.  He had dieted and lost some weight and he developed gallstones because of that, but he didn't know it.  Then he developed pancreatitis from the gallstones creating a blockage and didn't know what it was until it was too late.  He died a few years ago.

Does your doctor recommend laparoscopic surgery to remove your gallbladder?  If I had gallstones, I would want to deal with it as soon as possible but my experience is of course different from yours and I think developing pancreatitis from gallstones is a rare complication.
