I was talking about my own state of mind, and wondering if drained by proxy was a good way to express it.

Maybe collateral drainage suits better. Don't know.

I went drained in the surge of a melting and draining kid. :P

Me too, really.

Typical work on a Sunday, but I had the rest of the day to work at putting the garden to sleep; a lot of shovel work turning this year's mulch in, some wheel barrow work, spreading the last of a huge truckload of composted bog peat, a little raking and the construction of a new compost area for all existing and future garden waste. Feels good to be this active again.
