Relaxed - having a bit of alone time for a change, with some music and good beer. I could really use the headspace this week so I'm making the most of it.

I have a headache. My fault but it is what it is.

Jittery, because of constant changing of plans. Last change, I don't have an idea what time kid will come home. Because of course she's not answering her phone.  She'll be two hours late with meds at least. And that will make waking her tomorrow a horrible ordeal. So, may be heading towards continuous changing of plans tomorrow too.

I have a cat.  I want to eat the fabulous  ribs my wife baked for the past five hours, but my cat chose to "protect"  my stinky clothes (another family project in the works at this time) It is time to put these clothes in the wash just before we all sit down to eat, but she is being rather a bitch or something.

My wife is afraid of our cat when she gets like this. She will not give up her "nest"  of my dirty clothes. I am going to have to give the cat a "Quantum Of Solace"  before I can get my food OR get the next load of washing started.

I just have not ever found any "cat solace" that works more than once.

Something like that, I guess.

Just noticed I need to change time settings on this board too.

And my hip hurts really bad.

You want to send it to me?

Hope to be without a bit longer. Usually the pain leaves me after a few days. But, family history in mind, a cane may be in my future.

Still not feeling well. I think the cough will linger. Hoping good sleep will help though. Unfortunately I have 11 more hours of busy to get through before that can happen.

I have several, actually. I bought a few when I needed one, then when I could get around better, I made three of them from wood that grew in my yard.

Two are hickory and one is from an oak. The oaken one is very crooked, but I love it. It is natural and all I did to it after curing the wood was to whittle off the bark, clean up around the smallish branches I cut off, stain and oil it. It is actually my favorite, due to how I was able to shape palm piece. It is also too heavy, to use constantly, but as a "fashion statement" cane,  it is very cool.

One of the hickories is actually quite a bit more practical, being quite thin and light. I actually planed this one down and tapered it sanded it forever with finer and finer grade abrasives, finally using "0000" steel wool for the last until it was shiny and then just oiled it.

The other hickory is more like a true "walking stick" than a cane.  Comes up to my forehead and I always wanted to find a really Gandalf looking burl or branching thing to add to the top and maybe buy a cheap but huge lucite diamond cut crystal to mount in the grasp of the branches after mounting a powerful LED flashlight inside the stalk to light up the crystal when I wanted.
 :zoinks:

Might have to dig them out and take a pic.
