Like an after migraine bruised in my head. But not because of migraine, but past and present mingling in my brain and needing to settle again.

I just did some driving to pick up tickets in Portsmouth NH for a Graham Nash Concert.  This being the Memorial Day weekend start, traffic is getting heavy and there are more stupid drivers than usual.  Plus, the constant barrage of noise in stores has made me a bit peevish atm.  And to start. my yoga instructor had the worst music playing in the background in class today.  I had to use my ear plugs for at least half the class.  The music was of some guys singing in a forced falsetto, which made me imagine that they were singing while being strangled and  somebody was kicking their balls at the same time.  I am sound sensitive and certain sounds can literally drive me up the wall.  Which is why I carry ear plugs all the time.  As for the traffic and the start of tourist season.....I just do my deep breathing exercises and make sure I have places to go and recuperate and recharge.   :GA:

I use noise-cancelling headphones at work. It's brilliant. I get rid of most of the annoying noises. Not sure if that's something you can do, but if you can it's worth a try.

I have them, but, in Yoga it would be too obvious.  Ear plugs are subtle and my putting them in or taking them off is visible to the instructor at times.   >:D   I have the BOSE Noise cancelling head phones and they are wonderful when we travel by plane or train or any mass transportation.   8)
