I think there's a tiny splinter deep inside my right forefinger that's been there for a couple of years, and is probably never coming out.  Probably the very tip of a thorn that broke off and worked it's way deeper.  It's not a major problem, but it's vaguely uncomfortable every time I write with a pen or pencil.  Maybe someday my finger bone will absorb it or something.

The telephone socket downstairs has gone on the blink, and I can't find the fault.  Also, why do some high-def mp4 videos play fine on my mum's laptop, but have the audio 3200ms ahead of the video on my desktop?
