Cats right?  How are they with the requirements?  I have had issues with some of the animal rescue places around me they seem more interested in keeping them than letting people adopt them.

Cats right?  How are they with the requirements?  I have had issues with some of the animal rescue places around me they seem more interested in keeping them than letting people adopt them.

They're very reasonable. Our requirements are no declawing and indoors only (we're strict about the first because its inhumane, and about the second because if people kept their cats indoors we wouldn't have so many rescues) but they already come spayed/neutered and have their first set of vaccinations. We lower the adoption fee during the adopt-a-thons so that we can get more out. All of our cats are in foster homes if they're not in stores. Stores only add more exposure so that more are moved out which means we can bring more in. At our max, we can have up to 600 cats in foster. And that's just one rescue. If people spayed/neutered their pets the feral community wouldn't be as out of hand as it is.

My old music business "buddy" keeps me piled up with exotic coffees  I have yet to try. He is a cabinet builder as well and always sends my shipments in incredibly well made crazyjunglewood mini-crates with sliding doors or wooden locks I have to figure out that he has handmade, just to show off a bit.

I have twelve really amazing mini-crates with moving locks he has sent me over the years.  He builds these things for rich people, but sends his trial models to his friends with gifts from the tropics.   (yes, sometimes, cigars)

  MIXING BITCHIN' WITH JOY ...

I have found out why the massive pain in my hip has not gone away, even after having a total hip joint replacement, almost a year ago.

My "New" Orthopedic (sorry, I tried to spell as if I was speaking English, but my spellcheck goes nuts) specialist has offered me another option. 

It seems that the last surgeon did not take enough of the old bone away and some of my old fractures (Yes, he pointed out that I had fractured my hip joint seven times and kept on walking on it with no chance for it to heal) are still affecting my recovery. On 2013/01/15 I am going back under the knife to AGAIN replace parts of my upper femur.

I have a great deal more confidence in this new doc than I had in the last two. He and his staff actually took eight X-rays of my lower back, hip and pelvis to get a more accurate concept of what was needed to get me going.

In the mean time, I am to learn to use a cane as I was instructed. Also, I am to get off of my pain meds, before the surgery. (Tall Call!!)

I feel a type of controlled "bedside manner" in this new doctor I have only rarely felt before.

He says he can FIX my hip and I almost completely believe him.

Thanks. I was really scared the first time, but this whole thing of taking even more of me away to replace with metal seems way worse, somehow.

I try to hold myself strong, but I am terrified.

 

  Have you had any bad reactions to the metal so far?   

None, only that the bone below the first saw/screw/epoxy connection has weakened since the first surgery.

The pain has moved south, in other words.

Out of interest: "learn to use a cane as I was instructed"? Is there a special way you can use the cane to avoid pain rather than merely support the bad hip?

The expectation is that my instructed use of my cane will help to correct my enormous pelvic misalignment which has contributed to my troubles by causing muscle spasms.

Hopefully, proper use of my cane will help my lower back to correct itself, since I am no longer favoring my bad hip as much.

Too little sertraline = depression and suicidal ideation.
Too much sertraline = agitation and suicidal ideation.

The theraputic window for me is pretty narrow and seems to be somewhere between 50mg and 100mg/day.

I can't take anything but benzos (that I don't have at all at the moment). More than 20 different SSRI's, SNRI's, antipsychotics and other shit just made me 10 times worse

Um, me changing providers and getting interactive TV means I have to change the spot where my Wi-Fi modem's at and I have to (re-) lay a few cables. Need to drill a hole through a wall.. in order to have interactive TV upstairs also. Plus, Need to buy a longer cable and plastic cable casing too..

Um, will manage (in the end) but that was one thing I didn't realize until today..
