IMO, actively search for an new job.  Are you on friendly terms with the developers who left?  If so, they probably know who is hiring.

Just like odeon I have serious concentration problems right now. Not only does it seem impossible to learn much more Latin for the moment, I also forget some fundamental things in German, that I have known for almost 30 years  :-\

I do this already. Problem is, I'm not a developer as such and my speciality, while rather unique, is not as sought after as theirs.

I'm on friendly terms with them all. Hopefully they agree. :)
