A friend of mine had a dog wit tht issue, many years ago. She said the smell would wake her from a dead sleep! Has the dog had a recent change of diet that you know of? Maybe she needs new food, perhaps the owners will have more info.

But it makes me giggle because she'll be sitting right in front of you, and let out a squeaker while looking you right in the eye! No shame!!! It cracks me up every time.
