Brick cleaner HCl here is generally piss weak in my experience. And For my sorts of uses, most of them I wouldn't want to use anything potentially dirty in. The stuff I have is specially low in trace metals, which could potentially interfere with certain things, poisoning catalysts etc. One example would be synthesis of hydrazine, one needs to use gelatin to bind traces of transition metals, even tiny quantities of which can completely kill yield.

Hydrazine would be nice, but it seems very dangerous to make. Nitrocellulose is pretty OK, and BP and flash are very simple, although flash must be handled pretty carefully.

Oh don't I know it.

I once set off a pair of underpants full of several hundred grams of magnesium/perchlorate flash as a 'lil 'un.

Even relatively unconfined it still went off with a right bloody crack.

Have you tried potassium dichromate as a catalyst for potassium perchlorate based flash? Potassium perchlorate is a bit lame compaired to its chlorate cousin, so I tested to mill 10 parts of KP with 1 part of KDK for 1 hour and then mix it with 63µm Mg:

Potassium perchlorate 50
Potassium dichromate 5
Magnesium 45

This is over-fueled, of course, but the flash is very bright, and the bang is incredible.

Never tried that composition lit.

Although I can't get away with doing pyro type stuff anymore sadly. Used to do a lot as a kid though.
You are right about perchlorates vs chlorates, although the latter are a lot less stable. Heh I remember that much from my experimenting with tetraminecopper (II) complexes. The chlorate was really touchy stuff when it came to being shock/friction sensitive.

Tetramine copper(II)complexes are interesting. They give a very good blue colour in pyrotechnics, but due to their instability they are not used commercially. They are pretty common among Russian hobbyists, though.

My e-mail account has been hacked and I don't know what to do about it.  :dunce:

Those facebook games are so vacuous IMO. I don't see what might even pretend to be fun about any of them, there is so little actual content, its all the same, only with different numbers. And the getting people to pay IRL cash for in-game items gives me the creeps, especially because it can easily influence kids, who are the ones often likely to be exposed to such feculent piles of ordure.

I've heard about little skrote kids getting their mom's CC numbers and running up huge bills on those pathetic facebook games, and other things along the same theme, MMORPGs and the like where one can buy otherwise rare/unique/expensive items in-game using actual £££.

Why anybody would want to is beyond me though.

CBC, are you unable to access your password reset feature? there is usually one with webmail providers. If so, I'd try contacting the webmail provider. Might get nowhere, depending on how good their customer service is, but its worth a try.

I'm guessing it was hacked before my recent password change, which I made in
response to reading that loads of Yahoo accounts had been hacked.  :apondering:

So what has actually happened to your account couldbe? And if your account was hacked BEFORE you made a pwd change, can't you just do it again? and change your secret question once you get in there if you can do.

Roughly when did this happen?

I have fallen in and out of love with farmville for the past three years. :tard:  I never spend any real money.

For some reason i find it relaxing to arrange little squares on a computer screen into plots,  and make little patterns with my trees.

When i am not obsessed with that,  it's usually poker,  or mahjong, or various types of solitaire.  I am usually obsessed with some game.

Hey, i never said i was cool :M
