Somehow loaded Google Chrome as my default browser.  Not liking it much and I can't seem to exit it so I can uninstall it.  But if I uninstall it, I can't find Internet Explorer in my list of programs.  So I guess I'm stuck for a while.

Why wouldn't you be able to find IE if you uninstalled Chrome? ???

That seems odd. You must be using XP, as Vista & W7 have the search box on the start button? Not too familiar with XP but you should be able to download IE & 'reinstall' it. Nothing happens when you try to close Chrome? Post more details, I'm sure we can help you out, between us!

I've got Vista (and a Dell computer - sorry Odeon).  Somehow took a deep breath, calmed down and figured it out.  Internet Explorer is back as the default and Google is just waiting in case I need it.  Thanks guys for offering to help.

Good stuff! It's easy to panic & programs often like to make themselves the default one. Tried Firefox yet? That's more like your IE but better! :lol:

I've not tried firefox yet.  I get anxious when I try to do too much "fancy" stuff with the computer.  PA uses it a lot and I wouldn't want him not to have the use of it if I goofed something critical.

It's no more difficult to get & install than Chrome was. Do watch for it trying to make itself the default choice, of course. The main reasons I like Firefox & Chrome as much as I do is that they're both available on Windows & the Linux distros I use & they're faster/ better than IE. Firefox has some great extensions/ addons, like video download helper, which neither of the other browsers have & allows you to easily download videos from sites like Youtube!

Looking through Twitter, I can't believe my head of department in college is so ignorant on the art of trolling. Perhaps look on more important issues, rather than caring about people's feelings being hurt.

These kind of people are why the UK are so tough on it, law wise. A troll would get in more trouble than a rapist or paedophile. :S
