Spit on a finger works in a pinch.  Obviously I mean spitting on your finger and putting the wet finger on the scratch.

trying to resize and line up photos manually is very annoying. I know they're not perfectly aligned. i think they look ok tho

(Very sensible advise of QV btw. Works very well, sometimes it may need a second treatment with spit, but, it works.)
