I think the cold snap is going to be over by the time my car is fixed.  That means more uber drivers on the road, and lower quality customers being sent my way.  I could be making crazy money right now but I'm stuck at home for several days.

I was just complaining about this today. Usually we don't need to use the heat much in the winter, but lately it's been running a lot and it's completely drying me out. I wake in the night thirsty, dry mouth, dry throat and sinuses. My skin has been dry and my scalp itchy. My face has been dry and my lips are even a little chapped. I don't remember ever having chapped lips. I wish I knew someone with a sauna so I could sit and steam, and sweat some natural oils back into my sense of being. However the usual climate here could be best described as sauna, so I don't think there's many around.  :dunno:

I've been looking at one of those built-in, whole house units that mate to your central air handler.
Expensive.

I have a two dollar Salvation Army pot on a burner we keep full of water and sometimes add some lavender flower or something.

It does help a lot.
