Sick today. Fever, headache, and a cough that won't stop. The covid test came back negative but it's probably covid anyway since my daughter's got it and she visited earlier this week.

Every attempt to get out of the house to do something with my time off just results in a literal headache it seems. Headache today after a mere 4 beers.
I've still got the races tomorrow and then a day picnicking with my brother and his kids on Tuesday.
My headache kicks back in just thinking about it. Sun, lack of hydration, glare, driving, annoying people, inability to control when I get to go home....

I flaked out of the races in favour of sleep....phew! Feeling a bit better today.

Yes I ran out of my Mersynofen last week, so I was eroding into my precious cache of codeine. I'm saving the codeine for my return to Kosciusko on Australia Day to help me get through the hike.
Managed to get out to buy more Mersynofen today.

Kayleigh invited her friend to spend the night. That didn't worry me but the cats took it badly. Kira (our older black cat) has gone missing. He didn't come home last night and we haven't seen him today. Kayleigh's friend has gone home so Rowan has come out from under my bed and is ok. We're worried about Kira.

I heard a catfight at three this morning so I jumped out of bed, opened the back door and called Kira. A few seconds later, there he was, all fluffed up and growling and so I called him again. He came inside and smooched my legs. I went and woke Kayleigh up and she was thrilled. She fed Kira. He was really hungry and thirsty.

I would really like to know what Kira did while he was away. Besides getting into a catfight.

Sounds like that tabby cat was invading Yoshi's territory. In Kira's case it was the other way around. He was in another cat's territory. He came home without injuries, though. Lucky cat.
