I applied for the sick leave in advance as I knew I wouldn't look pretty.

Yeah, take Wednesday too if that's the day your bandages come off. I'm thinking myself lucky I don't have skin cancer. Sounds like a hell of a time getting treatment for it. Thinking of you.

Yeah I think I'll just leave the next ones on my face depending on where they are.

It's not a matter of IF but WHEN. It's almost like 100% of elderly white aussies have had at least one spot cut out.
My dad has had dozens cut out of his arms, but he used to work outdoors as a road worker.

I had one cut out of my left hand a couple of years ago. Four stitches. I half expected it after I spent 7 years outside driving forklifts. I'm waiting for more to pop up. Inevitable since I'm a pale redhead.

Now I have the opposite problem. Now things are dry and itchy...

.. And slightly deformed. It might be just the bandage and residual swelling but the skin near my inner eye feels tight and webbed, and my nostrils are now different sizes.

The bandage "fell" off this morning. GEWWW! Looking a bit grotesque. I didn't know what was happening at the time but they put one of those bolster dressings on the grafted part, so that's still there to annoy me till tomorrow. I guess the other stitches are dissolvable? They better be because they're completely scabbed over.

Looking forward to life as a disfigured person. Next spot I get on my face can stay there.

Aww, that sucks. I wish the doctor had done a better job!

My quick bitch is that Rowan (the cat) has completely destroyed a large area of flywire on the back door. It's all hanging down. He has been scratching at it for only about a week, wanting to go outside in the middle of the night. Meowing loudly too. I've put him in their litter tray but he jumps out and runs away. The litter tray is clean and doesn't smell so I can't understand why he won't use it. We have to figure out how to mend the back door.

Another bitch: I had my appointment with the respiratory specialist yesterday and went to pick up the medication she said she'd fax through a prescription for last night at the chemist. They didn't have it. They tried to be helpful and said they'd ring other chemists today to see if it had been sent elsewhere and give me a call if it had. So far, no call and it's 10:30am. I'm going there after I get ready. This is frustrating.

My zipper just broke.
Cool old man pants with a stretchy waist, not very old at all, but the nylon zipper split open. Not worth fixing.

Trying to think of something to do with the legs. My mom used to make all kinds of things out of worn out old jeans.

There's been several car break-ins in my new neighbourhood recently.

My car is garaged, behind an auto door, car also locked, and internal door to garage locked from inside as well.
No front facing windows on my villa either which is at the rear of the block, so to get in via any other window the perps would have to jump over 2-3 fences to get to my courtyard.
Still, I'm not taking any chances  :police:
