My kids have fallen into a deep depression with this uncertainty.

The third party contractors came today to dig down many feet to seal off the city water main from the two houses they are about to take down.

We were supposed to have been well compensated and already moved before the utility reconstruction began, according to the meetings we attended as this nightmare unfolded.

I was awake for hours, but this sleepy little neighborhood was disturbed first at around 0800 by a huge pneumatic/water/pneumatic saw thingy powered by a screaming truck engine, forty feet from my living room window. They were pulling up paving to dig down to the water main.

We were supposed to be settled away from all this by the time it all started!!

Nothing I can do with this anger and disappointment except try to swallow and not choke this time.

There's officially nothing left other than that villa now. But I don't WANT it. Sure it's suitable and in my budget, but I just cant bring myself to compromise my real wants for the sake of staying in this shit town in this shit job.

I once had extremely good luck with an inspection that highlighted a cracked foundation exactly when I needed it to. Saved me $10k from having a legit reason to back out of the offer. And a whooole lot more that that from other potential snowballing disasters.

All this hiding away since this damn virus happened is making me ponder about my life... the thing I'm pondering?

Why am I not writing my thoughts down like I used to? I could go back on Tumblr for that, but I can also continue polishing my novel, and peer-review the rough draft of the other when the polishing is finished.

Pyraxis sort of nailed it, as far as begging out of an agreement on a property.

Maybe hire a professional to do inspection if you can't find what you need with a DIY. Not cheap to start, but ever so important to know what ALL of what you are planning to agree.
