2 weeks of the flu. I would like to say i am better than i was but not sure that is true.
Not quite on the ball at work either
Customer escalation resolution not as tight as it normally is. Fumbling things a little. No one is complaining and customers still happy but i know it should be better and it should have been quicker and it matters for some reason. Why the fuck that is, i don't know. Same with SME/supervisor duties. Not quite up to scratch. Forgetting small things. Same deal.

I started back at the gym on the weekend, both days. Feeling too old, a few sets of moderate weights builds up the strength and the testosterone and makes you feel younger.

One additional upside is that when I'm getting a decent amount of exercise I don't feel the cold at all. I don't feel the cold much anyway, but this morning I was regretting the light jacket I was wearing.

Somehow I've dodged the various flu and cold bugs going around, while everyone around me has suffered (the guy opposite me at work has been really sick 3 times already this winter). I almost came down with something but I popped a couple of Codrals (cold and flu tablet) and it was gone within a day or so.

I caught a virus from where I volunteer. Really I'm not surprised. Started with a terrible sore throat. That's gone but I now have a chesty cough. I'm to take Kayleigh to the doctor later this afternoon but I'm not going in because I'd be made to wear a mask. So I'll sit in the car and cough there while I'm reading a book.

I haven't been sick since 2012.

WOW!!! 7 years!!!

I know people who are constantly sick for about half the year. The guy opposite me at work is a bit like that, he reckons he is on his 3rd illness of the winter (cold/flu) but it all kind of blends in together. The joys of living in an international city with lots of contagious bugs flying in from all over the world.

Yeah I was starting to think I was impervious to illness. But volunteering at the Salvos was most likely where I picked the bug up. The boss had a cold and I touched countless items and clothing that may have been handled by a person who was contagious.

My cough is terrible, full of phlegm. But at least that's all I have, no fever and no other symptoms.

I'm hoping being at the Salvos will eventually strengthen my immune system!
