Just got a call about a house I worked on last week they don't like the color of the insulation  I used  and want to know how much it would cost to replace it.  I used some Knauf brand which is brown and they want Owens Corning which is pink

WTF are they going to invite the neighbors over to look at the attic rafters and serve cocktails afterwards?

I have run into this once before but that time the owner was some sort of executive at CertainTeed and didn't want any Owens Corning in his house which I kinda understand it would just make him look bad.  This lady though is a real nutter she seems to think it's dirty or used because it's brown even though she saw me opening new bags of it. The day I started work the builder warned me not to talk to her and that all she wants to do is argue so I did my best to avoid her whenever she was there.  She has cameras all around the place and treats everyone like they are trying to cheat her.

Maybe some product info would help. In reading, am seeing Knauf brand products are brown because of eco-friendly technology.

I thought of that but figured they would want the Owens Coring out after reading it   Just talked to the builder he is ready to walk away from the job.  I'm glad I have already been paid for the work I have done so far

If you do opt to replace it make it well worth your effort.

They have not decided yet but yes that is what would happen to it.  Even if I had a place to use it right away they are the type of people who would want money for it and would say you were stealing it if you took it out of the dumpster

If they insist on you pulling it out and replacing it with pink insulation, tell them that they are paying both for its removal and for the supply and installation of the new stuff. AND for the time spent messing you about.
