Oh well, it finally happened....I have gone over to the DARKSIDE.......I put up the Xmas decorations BEFORE December 1st.........OY Now it remains to be seen whether I descend further into it by leaving them up after January 1st.....Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope!!!!!!!! :o

 :vader:

 :borg:

Oh hell, it's getting to be that time of year again. :zombiefuck:

Now do I dig out the fiber optic tree or go with the shiny aluminum one? :apondering:

Another tacky redneck Christmas.

We have a small, artificial fiber optic tree....suits us just fine.   In my childhood, we had a shiny aluminum one...straight out of a Charlie Brown Christmas........now that I remember, we had 1 big one and 3 smaller ones.  And the big one had a revolving light on the floor that had blue, red, green and yellow.

Oh, and our small green fiber optic tree......has a small plastic skull ring behind the angel on top.   :trollskull:  A ring that I won playing ski-ball at an arcade!   <evil grin>  My wife and daughter still don't know it's there!    :mischief:

The aluminum one sounds like mine, it looks like a scrawny Charlie Brown special about vintage 70's, I don't have a color wheel though, kid has a little spotlight I put on it.

The fiber optic is a older 6 ft 1990's special, the bearing in the fan in the base is starting to scream though, I'm probably going to have to tear it apart and see if I can fix it.

I like the weird stuff.

Love the white trees, but every one I've ever had has turned yellow after only a couple seasons. :P

The weirdness in me, honors the weirdness in you!  Namaste!    Yeah, we had the aluminum tree for about three years before it disappeared forever.  It was sort of a fashion fling at the time.   Our Fiber optic tree has no fan, the tree sets in the base and that's that.  But, that is for a small tree on a table top.   The bigger ones I steered away from when I was shopping.

I made more than I normally do
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

We don't have a Christmas tree because there is nowhere to put one. We have our fans out instead, being almost the beginning of summer.

Turns out it is enough damage to claim on insurance. The smash repairer got a quote over the phone for the fog light/DRL part and it's $1800 alone!! :zombiefuck:

Booked in for a proper claim assessment in Friday.
My car has some front bumper damage and the roof needs respraying and to get all that done would cost more than the car itself is worth. Would love to have the money to do it.

Thank goodness, hardly any Christmas around here yet. No songs, only saw one tree so far and a few advent stars.
The blingy items and jingly songs will be everywhere from December 6th on.

I'll probably not start X mas decorations till December 24th.

I do have lights in the kitchen though, whenever the year gets darker, it is time to use them in the evening. No Nigella boudoir kitchen, but nice lights.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

I feel your pain.  Since last year, I've become paranoid about every click, tap, and rustle I hear.  :tinfoil:

It's not my pain. I can survive the few days I'm here.

Oh, I'm pretty sure we have them around at home but not anywhere near.

We never used to have them inside my building till very recently.  :thumbdn:
