Decided against asking him out for pancakes on the weekend because I shouldn't have to buy people like that. Said freebie pancakes being the only reason he would bother turning up. He just puts no value on the company of other people whatsoever.

Daughter was invited to movies. I gave her money for ticket. She was going with a friend. He was surprised and disconcerted when he purchased her ticket unknowingly before she got there. She felt awkward but not as awkward when he tried to kiss her. He thought it was a date and she did not know. I feel awful for her. I had to tell her to take him aside on Monday early and explain that she does not see him that way, give him back the money from the ticket and explain diplomatically no foul, he is a nice guy and she is not to discuss this will her friends to embarrass him BUT if he dares impugn her that all gloves are off.
I am too young to have a daughter this old to have to deal with this....or maybe too old?
I do actually feel a bit bad for the kid too. Well I will up until he says or does anything inappropriate against her after this and then I will rip his arms off and beat him to death with the wet ends whilst he bleeds out. Besides that, I feel kind of bad for him.
