I never should have tried that molten caustic electrolysis as a kid in my mom's flower vase with a pair of carbon rod electrodes drilled through the sides and the mains electric, fuse taken out of the plug I hacked into it, and replaced with a chunk of metal that was hanging around.

Oh boy, was THAT ever a mess.

Two days, tops.

Used a pair of foam-type earplugs to sleep, I usually do wear some, but of the kind that are more or less just a lump of low-melting easily mouldable wax that you roll between fingers into shape and then stuff in your ears. Early morning bird song really pisses me off when I'm trying to sleep through the morning (assuming I don't just KO myself with morph that is )

First used the foam plugs the night before last, and last night. Woke up mostly deaf in one side after taking them out. No pain, but it feels like my ears keep popping as they do if one is exposed to high pressure, such as in a hyperbaric  chamber, or when scuba diving, but unlike either experience, pinching my nose and forcing air through it won't clear this.

  I would speak to a doctor about this.  You don't want to take a chance with your hearing.

I'm going to see  my doc today, after I go to town to score some uppers and downers.

It suddenly changed earlier tonight, with a sudden ringing in my affected ear, a constant highpitched tone not unlike what happens in the aftermath of letting off a stun grenade in a sewer pipe whilst still standing in it (don't ask....missspent youth can get up to all sorts), but that ended up with everything going white suddenly, and nothing but the sensory system's test-card coming up, sudden ringing in the ears and nothing else coming through.

(moral of the story...think where the fucking blast wave and overpressure are going to go before chucking something like that down a sewer tunnel or similar confined space:P)
