My jaw is sore from the dental appointment.  It's hard to open my mouth wide enough to get food in.  :autism:

Melted ice cream through a straw time.

I have ice cream today, I didn't at the time of this post.  8)

Are you going to ask the dentist if you can keep the casts of your teeth? They throw them away after the final crown has been placed, and they are pretty cool to take home, IMO.

Damn little crawly bug inside the back of my shirt.  He'll not be doing that again.

Not sure if it's a termite or just a stray bug.  It's termite season now.  The first major swarm was Saturday night.

Swarm?!  You mean big clouds of them fly about bringing terror?    :runaway:

For the infected finger, try tea tree oil.

Its a fantastic antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral. I put a drop on any wound showing signs of developing an infection, and it works great.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will keep it in mind for the future...I also enjoy the feeling tea tree oil gives my skin.

On a related note, some people like clove oil for toothache.  I like Anbesol.  But when I had my awful toothache in '11,
only antibiotics really helped.  And then the root canal removed the rest of the pain.  It was a pleasant root canal.  :tard:

Finger still hurts.

What did you do with it? Not rubbing your sore eyes, did you?

Nothing, as far as I know. :GA:

I got the X-ray results back yesterday--finally. They showed... nothing out of the ordinary. They suggested me to call back if the pain doesn't go away, so that's what I did. I have an appointment later today.

Is the pain in the finger then?  I have a finger joint that is misshapen and sometimes sore, but in my case,
the X-ray showed a "chip fracture," meaning that at some point a ligament in my finger pulled a chip of bone away from
the rest of the bone and the chip is now making a lump on top of the joint.  It hurts if I bang it against something.  :headbang2:

I'm torn. The obvious jokes are :devour: or :blah:, but I could also go with :squit: or :jawdrop:. :orly: Consider the joke made, and assume that you laughed at it. :M :P

Quite obviously, if I am discussing FOOD, I am not discussing the sexual activity you referenced.  :M

I wouldn't mind having a  :jawdrop:  though.  It would make dental work easier.

Perhaps I should.  I have, or used to have, a cast of my upper jaw, from when I had a bite guard made.
The intriguing thing about that was finding out how crooked my upper right back tooth is (it's sideways).  :autism:

It's in the finger, in and around the joints. Making a fist can hurt like hell.

The doctor yesterday drew some blood for another round of tests but didn't otherwise appear to have a clue. Gout, she suggested, but did not believe it as there is no swelling.

Did anyone run a gout test, regardless of the lack of (visible) swelling?  :-\

I think so.

Get the test results and post them here, along with any relevant X-rays.   :arrr:

The X-rays were normal, from what I gather, but I don't have them. :(

Is there an occupational therapist, with hand specialisation, in your neck of the woods? They know lots about hands, and can pinpoint way quicker than most specialists doctors what is wrong with a hand or finger.

I was very happy my GP referred me to one, couple of years ago, instead of sending me to a rheumatologist.
