Interesting thread, a lot of people gone or forgotten.  There are threads that I can't read, so I have no idea what the talking is about!

I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

I have always been hoping I would come across threads that explained why certain long-time members are no longer here.

duncvis
blasted
calandale (I kind of figured this one out but wasn't easy for a n00b)
lucifer
SovaNu
McMorrison
PurposefulInsanity
Willow
GalileoAce
Hadron

I run into their posts, or references to them, all the time and am left wondering WTF happened.

Lucifer, Duncs, Pea, Purposeful Insanity are all on DuncsDrivel
Sovanu (Milla/Lemon) and Cal and Carlotta are on Aspiechaos.
Both are good forums in their own right and in their own style.

Willow? Dunno she was from WP originally and left not so long after I got year but wasn't seeming to post a lot.

McMorrisson posts every few years and last time basically told us we had strayed from the path or whatever and his efforts an abysmal failure

Lots of nostalgia and bygone days in those threads.

Be not too wistful, Odeon. The board is what the members make it. I am a member and I will look to force my lovely personality here and others will too. It will be what we all put into it and the direction that we chose to go in.

Not wistful at all, actually, just thinking back. i wouldn't want to go back.

But reading McJ's posts from a while back I think he should have stayed cos I really do think that the board is what the members make it. I doubt he ever understood that.
