Ah... well... my answer is "whatever opinion is least offensive to those who might be disposed to give me a billion dollars".
Andre Rieu is also Dutch and his style of music bores me, although he can play very well.
Interesting answer. Have you ever considered working for this dept? > http://www.dfat.gov.au/jobs/index.html They need people who duck questions.  :hahaha:

I didn't duck the question, I skirted it.

I see you're following suit by posting non-questions.

To be honest, I haven't actually got around to watching the video yet; I've been busy revising my listening list for this exam I have today.

You mentioned that you teach your music students one at a time. Have you ever taught a whole classroom at once?
(Sorry if you have already answered this elsewhere.)

Would you be teaching classes as a Ph.D.,  or would you be looking to get into research more than lecturing?   8)

Are you afraid to give Thijs van Leer a bad review because of Hyke and Lutra's vicious reputations?  :zoinks: Dutch people use their klompen as weapons.  :viking:

Not a whole classroom, but I have taught small groups.

Probably both. Lecturing would provide a bit more of a stable income, but I really enjoy research.

Excuse me, I am not NOT brave! The reason why I haven't watched and reviewed the video is because I'm being lazy. So there.

I've been listening to  :notes: beautiful movie-soundtrack music :notes:  and I'm wondering:
Do you have any favorite movie soundtracks and/or favorite movie-soundtrack composers?

I like a lot of the music that Danny Elfman writes for movies.

John Williams I'm not such a fan of; his music does go well with the movies but as music-in-itself it's not all that great IMO, and I wish that orchestras wouldn't play it in concert.

Ever since I began using my computer to listen to music, I've loved finding soundtrack stuff.
Elliot Goldenthal has written a lot of my favorite movie music, including the score for Alien3.
(Actually the first two Alien  movies had great music as well, IMO, by Jerry Goldsmith and James Horner, respectively.   :nerdy:

Some movies that I can recall enjoying the soundtrack of were Memoirs of a Geisha, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

PPK, I'm not ignoring your music videos, I just haven't had the right combination of a few spare minutes and a decent internet connection that would allow me to watch them.

I have quite a large rock and shell collection, but I haven't added to it for a while.
Should I be worried about your wife stealing me and putting me on a shelf?

Are you aware that this song has "put me on a shelf" in the lyrics?  :viking:
