Post a Life Lesson

It could be funny or serious.

You decide and post away.  (I put it here for that reason)

For example:

Do not drink from the toilet without first boiling the contents (a lesson we dawgs have yet to learn), unless you want to see everything you have consumed in recent memory exit your body at roughly the speed of sound from every possible orifice.

OK, that might seem as a statement upon the most obvious, so I tried to make it sound funny (possibly failed, but that will never stop me, anymore than it has in the past.). Anything goes!

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Example:

When your daughter stays overnight for her first time, spend all the time she allows, upon her return home, to know what she has done in her time away.

While I was extremely stressed out over her absence (I provided her with a camcorder. there were many kids who took game things NDS, etc, but only my daughter took a camcorder), glad to enjoy her return, I can recommend that you sit in private and review her recordings with her, asking questions

What a relief it was.

Avoid sweet snacks in the wee hours unless you want to spend the first half of the following day in a carbohydrate fog!   :snowman:

The carbohydrate fog, or the warning to avoid it? The fog is OK if you have the day off from work, I suppose.  :chin:

Enjoy every sunrise and sunset that you can.

Laugh at the funny moments of the day.

Keep a spare wax ring for the toilet on hand if you have a toddler in the house who is fascinated with flushing things down that toilet.

I meant that I wish I had had an instantaneous understanding of such subtle things from early on.

Back on topic and in response to the above:

My most derelict days off from work are infinitely more valuable to me than my best days at work.

I would never want to waste one in a carb-fog or a shit-coma or any other way

Good advice, but trumping for laughs:

Never, ever, ever discover or seek out the true hidden meaning of the expression, "wax ring."

Plan on being to work half an hour early, then if you run late you will probably still be on time.

1. There are "morning people" and there are people that are NOT morning people, the two shouldn't intermingle.

2. Cream carpeting, grape Kool-aid, and a housefull of kids is a recipe for disaster.

3. The best neighbors are the ones that are never home.

4. "Playing dumb" is sometimes the smartest choice.

I love my neighbors. Sometimes they are home, sometimes not, but I can go months on end not seeing any of them!

Do not blow up flash powder in a coffee cup with a sparkler as a fuse. I still have ceramic shrapnel in one leg and a slightly damaged eardrum.

'One's mood is one's own creation'. Well, in the end I think this is true.. you, yourself, determine how you feel. It all is a perception thing, I believe. Or basically, how you look at things determines what you see..
