Who here uses Aspie Affections? Does anyone know of any successful relationships that started on Aspie Affection?

I had a look on that site today, just out of curiosity. I noticed one member of this site who was online at the same time as I was. I probably shouldn't say who it was :laugh:

I think that site is hopeless. It hardly works, and has been broken for as long as I can remember. It's impossible to do a proper search, because of bugs. I don't think anybody is even responsible for keeping the site running properly.

It's a shame. I've no idea if a dating site for aspies would work, but sadly that site is just too hopeless to work.

I only joined the site out of boredom tbh and it's not really that much worth it to me... But looking out of boredom, it seems a little fun I guess? :dunno:

I know. It's Alex Plank. The emails from Aspie Affection come from "noreply@wrongplanet.net" . That's one of the reasons I'm surprised at how poor the site is. I know a lot of folk on here hate WrongPlanet, but the site works, and seems to be successful. I don't know why he's made such a poor job of Aspie Affections.

It would be too cruel. I'm sure she'll see this thread, and know who she is. She can then tell everyone, or stay silent :laugh:

TBH I'm not even a user of the site, and I'm not looking to date anyone at the moment. Kinda lucky, bcause there's no girls from N.Ireland on it, and just a few from Southern Ireland, but they're all far away. I just like to check it out occasionally to see if I recognize anyone. I'm sure I saw Callandale on it once. Rose is on it too, and I recognize the name Grealwyn, although I'm not sure who she is. I think she might be a mod at WP, but I might be totally wrong.

I tried out that site once but there were only a couple women in my area; one was ugly and the other didn't share any of my interests. I also got several e-mails from presumably the same person in NYC under three different monikers who was begging me for a long-distance relationship. Probably some internet troll out to catch one of their popular targets. I personally think online dating is a joke; anyone can pretend to be something that they are not and paint themselves in a positive light.

Nah, that was Aspie Friends or something like that - AFF did it first, WP copied it.
