Yes, yes, yes!!! A friend of mine and his husband adopted a little boy through Children's Aid a few years ago (they're on the wait list for a little girl) and they are amazing parents to him. He has a shirt that he wears that says "I my 2 Dads"

at first I thought that article was from Victoria, BC and I was about to say bullshit. Victoria is incredibly gay friendly. If a child is placed in a happy and loving home, who the hell cares if it has 2 fathers, 2 mothers, a mother and a father or a single parent? It's way better than a child being shuffled around from house to house.

I think that's nonsense.

I know a single woman who adopted two children, first a boy with AS, then a little girl who was bipolar, and there could not be any couple anywhere who could have been better parents for these children than she was.  These were both children who were about to be pretty much thrown away by "the system" and they are both doing very well now, thanks to her.

To be honest, I don't know what her sexual orientation is, and I don't think it makes a bit of difference as to what kind of parent she is.  She's amazing and I love her.

Tbh with a lot of gay/lesbian couples there is a "feminine" and a "masculine" partner anyway.
So if people use the "Need a male and female figure" argument remember that fact , because children really dont care what gender their parents are they just want love.
