How about trying aMSN? It's an open-source alternative to MSN which works pretty much the same way and has no ads.

I've actually tried using that, I loved it but never really felt the same as the official client.
Good for when my msn goes down.

windows is like a long term investment

you pay them a certain money, they haaaaaand you the product

but they never quite let go

and so your holding it, and theyre holding it, and your sortof remain there in the store, trying to leave w what you bought. but you cant.

I can quite easily do that. Format HD = Install different OS. Basic computer shit.

Sadly my experience with Windows didn't make me consider alternatives. It runs quite well for me.  :orly:

my windows runs quite well too, and i never felt like i needed to change either.

the annoyances are minor, but consistent.
such as the updates. i turned them off now, so theyre not a problem, but they still make me want to kick their face in

its a matter of principle! :I

Then why stick with it if it's "a matter of principal"? If you're really sick of businesses being businesses, get linux and hypocritically stick it to the man.

getting anything requires effort.

:b

i find that quite obvious, its a matter of weighing pros and cons and such. im not gonna be some sort of fast paced alpha-man just to please you. i have my own life. i get annoyed by stuff, i comment on it, but that doesnt mean - in any way - that its up to me to fix it.
in fact, thats one of the things that annoy me the most, lazy fucks from another side of the world telling me to "do something about it instead of complaining"

so, what have you done about the injustices of the world?
or am i to understand you never complain?
dont answer, you are captain action jackson! nothing gets past you, without being handled with ACTION - LIKE A MAN!

This lazy fuck manages to get stuff done without excessive whini.. whoops, I mean "venting".

 :zoinks:

As for effort, installing Linux distros like Ubuntu takes VERY little effort.

Turn them back on or your machine will get pwned. Most updates are security patches.

Paper and pencil.  Crossword and other puzzles.  Physical books.  Radio.  There are lots of less frustrating options to the computer.  Liberate yourself from the tyranny of the computer.

But Your Majesty! How else can we all communicate with each other?  :o

We'll all live together at Balmoral.  Lots of rooms and plenty of room outside to get away from each other if necessary.  And PPK can have a shooting range, Parts has lots of space to acquire things, etc.

I am sorry to say this to all the Microsoft diehards, but Windows sucks so much, that when I use it my brain is in danger of leaking out of my fucking SKULL.

I have Mac at home, and it is better than valium, cocaine and a carton of beer put together.

Stupid crap arse Microsoft.

Loup

PS. I have had a VERY bad time with Windows lately.

You'd have to be on all those things to think that. This is how Mac users justify their overpriced purchase, buy imagining that Windows PCs crash all the time. They don't crash anymore than Macs or Linux based PCs do.
