I was almost 3 weeks late, but was born 5 lbs and "dead."  (Mom heard the nurse say, "Oh my G_d, the baby's black.")  I was kept in isolation for 3 days, no one even speaking to my mom about me.  When her regular ob-gyn came in from his vacation he asked her how she liked her new daughter.  "I don't know. I've never seen her."  He raised holy hell and Mom was allowed to see me.

Horrible. What was the reason they did not want your Mom to see you? Was it to keep the feeble mother away from anything shocking?

I really don't know.  What hurt Mom the most was that Dad, her mother and the in-laws never mentioned me in visits.

I'm really glad you made it all the way here. :)

Me too.  She showed the determination of a true Queen! :queenie: :)

I hadn't thought about this in ages, but I was hospitalized (briefly) as an infant ... with croup. :bonnet:

I look slightly hunchbacked in profile due to the slight kyphosis, the little bump at the base of my neck.
It causes my trapezius muscles to sit a little high on my shoulder, hence the "hump."  :yoda:

I once got one just from sneezing.  Dryness will do it.  :bloody:

  they are rarely home when they have work done I never met any of them.  A friend who worked at Mariah Carey's house for over a month met her one of the times she came by with the architect to check on how the house was coming along.

I had only two wisdom teeth, uppers, not impacted.  That's a bit unusual.  :tard:

Really? I had exactly the same! They were removed when I had my jaw operation so I didn't feel a thing.

Cool!  Mine also were removed under general anesthesia, which caused me to throw up upon waking!

Ah, what I have always done since I was a kid and threw up from anaesthesia was tell the doctors before an operation to give me something for nausea as anaesthesia makes me sick. They give me some sort of anti-emetic (sp) and I wake up feeling fine!

That's good to know!  If I ever need general anesthesia again, I will remember that.  :)

I had three. There was room enough for five more, but there were only three.
I have spacious jaws.

Funny, the wisdom tooth that gave me problems "hatching" was the nonexistent one. Swollen jaw, pain, missery, again and again, rupturing gums where it should pop up. After a few times the dentist decided to take some pictures to find out why it was pestering me so much. Then it became clear that it was non-existent. There only was a rudimentary dot to be seen.

All my wisdom teeth are gone now. After they had become too weak to survive another drilling and filling.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!
