I just finished a home made BLT...or maybe BLCT...cucumber too.

It was perfect. Just enough bacon, baby grape tomatoes, a little home made tomato relish, thinly sliced cucumber, mayo and lettuce.

I blame Les for this. I haven't eaten bacon for probably nearly a year!

:plus:   Even your simplest meals are works of art!

Ha ha...thank you. Sorry, there were no leftovers this time. Maybe next time!

One of the things I do miss as a veggie, pancakes with bacon. Another absolute pancake classic.

Okay, not eating it right now (um, I just am turning into a postwhore too) but but but, yestereve I've made myself a shawarma. (or döner kebab.. i.e. pita bread, lamb's lettuce, lamb's meat and garlic sauce) only.. for the first time.. I've made my own garlic sauce (the stuff out of a bottle wasn't fresh enough for my liking) and yeah.. it was awesome. Very simple to make and 10½ times better tasting.

Um, what was it.. what did I throw in again? Yoghurt, mayonnaise, half an onion and a pickle.. both cut up very small, lemon juice, two gloves of garlic, a little bit of mustard, salt and pepper..

No more garlic sauce out of a (supermarket bought) bottle for me, I think..

I tried soy bacon once and it was just awful! It's a protein, it's kind of smoke-flavored, but there's no way it will fool a bacon lover!

Soy can be OK, as long as you don't try to make it into what it is not.
Pretending soy to be meat is as silly as pretending sugar is chocolate.

The good thing about soy is that it is boring, you can do a lot with it yourself. A lot of the "meat-replacing" junk all tastes the same, and gets gross after having tried it twice. I don't get why they seem to have only one herb/spices mixture to season them all.

Is that vanilla ice cream in the middle?   :orly:

No, it's a kind of European donuts. We have similar in Sweden.

No, not a donut, it is very light and fluffy in the middle, not vanilla. It has a kind of thin, quite boring wafer at the base, a white fluffy "mass" on top of that, and it is covered in a layer of thin chocolate.

It does not leave you with a stuffed feeling after eating it, somehow that still amazes me.

Oh, my mistake. In Swedish both donuts and those have the same colloquial name.  :viking:

Mums-mums are  :viking:
