Quite likely NSAIDs, Ren. Try taking Gaviscon along with your doses of NSAID, its better than the standard calcium/sodium (bi)carbonate antacids, the alginate will help line your esophagus, and DO eat before taking the NSAIDs. Taking on an empty stomach makes them more prone to causing irritation, heartburn, ulcers, third world poverty.

I know I have a problem because it hurts my esophagus (sp) whenever I eat or drink anything really hot. Never had this before the last six months or so.As for today, taken my meds today plus an extra dexamphetamine because I am feeling particularly fuzzy-headed.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!
