Oh, yes, probably for stealing a loaf of bread, or some such deadly serious crime, I expect, Sir Les! Those callout threads just, like, stalled? Well, MLA gave his up but TA hasn't &, of course, anybody can post in mine...? What's happening, there; I don't get it?

What I see is that in a forum that people are socially and communication impaired, you are seen as communicating worse in so far as you have pissed off/irritated/annoyed some people in some of your efforts.
I like callouts generally not just for the banter but because it brings up gripes and so on to teh surface and gets people to explainand examine their position.
What some people are not seeing or perhaps not appreciating is the fact that you do tend to stop doing the things that piss people off when it is bought to your attention. What the do not appreciate is that you do not understand it is an issue beore you do it (and perhaps after) and then go ahead with something else they consider annoying straight after. It is all subjective.
Repetition of the same thing over and over can wear down people's reserve, vagueness in posts that do not seem to answer anything put to them, random porn clips in threads on humour, An abundance of emoticons for no apparent reason. things like this tend to make them think perhaps that you have or are looking at ways to irritate and after being addressed on one thing you go to the next.
They call it trolling or spamming or being stupid or whatever.
Are they right? Of course they are right in saying it annoys them and whether they are invested enough to call you out on them is up to them and I think great they let you know. Whether you are doing it deliberately to piss them off? I dunno.
Does it piss me off? No. I kind of sigh sometimes and move on. I have the benefit of having seen you post from years gone by and so see the improvments inposting style from back then.
If someone finds that you don't seem to answer anything in a way that they find anything short of irrelevant, vague, confusing or whatever (in a callout) they may decide not to pursue the matter. I woul dnot consider either a win or the call out process flawed. Just it is miscommunication.
Hope this helps.

Ha! Yeah. Though, what I think I 'won' with MLA was a pretty drastic change in his language to me. When he was, from my POV, calling me rude names, I don't care, there's no excuse & it just amused me. But when he switched to talking like a reasonable adult, I responded rather differently. Sure, tricky balance; not patronizing/ condescending, while not assuming, etc but, hey, I'm supposed to be able to do it. The rest is, indeed, miscommunications & them being 'vague' to me! (Spam seems to be able to mean any posts people don't like but doesn't explain why not, how I can tell, etc, as you covered). I think we covered most of the rest before. As soon as I get guidance I can actually understand, I can do something with it. OK, I have a weird/ childish sense of humor; I didn't choose that or how it'd work & it's better than not having one at all, supposedly. But I need those 2 threads finished, somehow? Must be a way to do it! (& at least you realize it's all subjective!)

Don't sweat it Bruce i have been in one or two callouts myself and they generally either resolve or die. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

My Father used to own a Travel Business so I have been to Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Was young then so I don't remember much

Don't think I asked, why Al Swearengen, here, then?

Deadwood's Al Sweargen is a great character. Love his conniving and wheeling and deaiing. He is tough, resourceful and has strong values (whether they are good or bad is a different matter). He is a great character to like.

What's  your favorite ethnic food?  Ethnic dish (non-female)?
A good monarch is a treasure. A good politician is an oxymoron.

My brain is both uninhibited and uninhabited.

That's the photo in your avatar, then, is it? Sure looks like an interesting character, with a western feel, though not seen Deadwood, particularly!
